I would first off like to start by saying congratulations on being accepted to San Jose State University. This university is among the top universities in the nation and by being invited, speaks volumes about your academic achievements. Delta Sigma Phi we not only strive hard to excel academically but to be better men all around.
Back when I was a freshman, there were many different things happening around me and I felt I was in a whirl-wind of new experiences. I was bombarded with questions like: What is your major? What is a fraternity? What do you mean I have to go to class? These are all trying questions, some answerable and some not, but I am here to tell you that the one question that changed my life completely was: How am I going to make the best of my life? There is only a single answer and that is: Delta Sigma Phi. I have been a proud member of Delta Sig for four years as an undergrad and now as an alumni and not a day goes by that I regret joining a fraternity, especially Delta Sig. I have met many outstanding people, been blessed to have the incredible friends that I have, and been able to have some outstanding experiences.
This fraternity not only excels in academics but we exist to give back to our community. We commit ourselves to hundreds of hours of community service per year by donating our time, our talent, and our leadership to assist different charities and non-profit organizations.
The Gamma Epsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Phi is one of the most prestigious chapters that we have nationwide. It was founded back in 1949 by men that embodied the true spirit of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. We were founded by a Jewish and a Chrisitian man back in 1899 at a time when integrating religious beliefs was not looked at very highly. The Fraternity was built upon the bedrock principle of embracing diversity and that is what we wish to continue at San Jose State University.
If you and your friends are interested in joining Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and becoming founding fathers, feel free to contact me via email at Breunig@deltasig.org or by phone at 405-816-2024.
I want to wish you the best of luck in your academic career at San Jose State University and GO SPARTANS!
Sincerely, Ben Breunig
