Greg (Fall09') has officially become an alumni of SJSU and Delta Sigma Phi. Greg attended SJSU on a vocal performing scholarship and served as chapter song leader during the Spring 2010 semester. Thank you to the Fall 2009 Executive Board

The chapter would like to thank the Fall 2009 Executive Board for their service to the Fraternity. For many of these men it was their second term on board and we appreciate their dedication to Delta Sig. Two of these men will be serving another term this year (Marco-President, Ivan-Vice President)

Ryan Whitchurch and Peter Do are off to Leadership Institute!

For the next 4 days Ryan and Peter will be representing our Gamma Epsilon Chapter at Delta Sigma Phi's Annual Leadership Institute.

Formerly known as The College of Engineered Leadership, The Leadership Institute (LI) is our Fraternity’s flagship leadership development offering. A five-day, intense training and development institute, the LI has graduated more than 600 brothers since its inception in 1993, and over 50% of those give back to the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation.

A recent attendee called the Leadership Institute, “The best thing Delta Sigma Phi does!” The cutting-edge curriculum intentionally provides several small group sessions in which participants experience the topics in a more intimate setting for discussion and analysis. There are also increased mentoring opportunities with alumni facilitators in small groups. Topics range from leading organizations to ethical decision-making to motivating others to act. The Fraternity selects LI attendees from an elite group of high-caliber men based on their superior academic performance, leadership, campus and community involvement, and letters of recommendation. Undergraduates selected to attend the LI are not only chapter leaders, but many are also leaders in their campus community.

The number of applicants continues to grow each year making it more and more competitive to secure a spot. The estimated cost per attendee is $1000. Participants bear no expense for their attendance, thanks to loyal Delta Sigma Phi alumni who realize the benefit the Leadership Institute can make in a young brother’s collegiate years and beyond. Generous gifts from alumni make possible what would otherwise be impossible for most young Delta Sigs.

Ryan Whitchurch serving as one of the undergraduate members on the National Convention staff

Gamma Epsilon brother Ryan Whitchurch spent his week in St. Louis helping out the National staff at convention. Ryan was one of only a few undergrads nation wide to be asked to work on the convention staff. Good job Ryan, it is great to see Gamma Epsilon contributing to our National Fraternity.
